Hazel is likely to produce A2 milk as her sire was A2A2, but we have not tested her. Hazel has been bred to a devon bull for her first calf. Hazel is perfect for a small homestead family and grassfed operation. Both breeds are very hardy, low maintenance, and great foragers. They maintain good body condition on less than pristine pastures. One could expect to get approximately 1 gallon/day of milk comparable to the butterfat of a Jersey. Calves out of Hazel will make great beef as the devon breed produces exceptional beef.
